Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced WCS Architect with a deep understanding of IBM WebSphere Commerce Suite (WCS) and related technologies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading technical and functional aspects of WCS/Ecommerce systems, with expertise in IBM WCS 7/8/9 and Apache Solr. They should possess strong troubleshooting skills in live production ecommerce systems and be proficient in SOAP/Rest APIs. Additionally, the candidate should have a solid understanding of web technologies, grid systems, responsive design principles, and fluid layouts.

Technical/Functional Skills:
  • 10+ years of experience with working knowledge of IBM WCS 7/8/9.
  • 5+ years of experience with Apache Solr.
  • Working experience in SOAP/Rest APIs.
  • WCS support experience with knowledge in Catalog, Marketing, Promotion, Order, and Search Systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting knowledge in live production ecommerce systems.
  • Strong understanding of web technologies, grid systems, responsive design principles, and fluid layouts.
  • Experience with ES5, ES6, HTML5, CSS3, CSS pre-processors.
  • Expert knowledge of vanilla JavaScript, XML, JSON, AJAX, and JavaScript frameworks like jQuery and Dojo.
  • Experience developing custom WCS features.
  • Experience interacting with 3rd party systems.
  • Experience with front-end build tools such as Gulp.js and Node.
  • Proven track record of developing software and web applications using JavaScript.
  • Experience developing dynamic data-driven web application front-end UIs and data binding.
  • Experience in Service Management tools like ServiceNow and JIRA.
  • Experience using SQL, PL/SQL, or Oracle Database.
  • Experience in Linux Shell scripting.


  • Experience Required: 10+ years of experience with working knowledge of IBM WCS 7/8/9. 5+ years of experience with Apache Solr.

    Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Lead the team in technical and functional aspects of WCS/Ecommerce systems.
  • Communicate with customers and TCS leadership on a regular basis.
  • Lead the team in handling severity issues, providing root cause analysis, and recommending solutions.
  • Proficient in incident management.
  • Able to independently debug issues and provide detailed solutions with code snippets if applicable.
  • Foster and maintain relationships within the team and with the customer.
