Quality Engineer

We are seeking a skilled QA Lead specializing in Mobile Automation to join our team in Berkeley Heights, NJ. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our mobile applications through automation testing. Your expertise in analyzing business requirements, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and developing automation scripts will be essential in delivering high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze Business Requirements Documents to gain a comprehensive understanding of the system from both technical and business perspectives.
• Utilize tools like Postman and Node.js for pipeline testing and automation testing.
• Participate actively in Requirements, Design, Development, and Testing sessions.
• Assess technical feasibility of Automation Testing based on requirements and implement automation scripts.
• Prioritize and develop automation scripts for new features and updates in legacy modules.
• Prepare test execution plans for sprint releases, factoring in project scope and requirements.
• Contribute to the creation of Test Plans and Estimation documents.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to analyze requirements and prepare test data.
• Facilitate regression testing by participating in scrum meetings, addressing blockers, and coordinating with offshore and onsite QA teams.
• Review and ensure peer tasks align with project standards.
• Collaborate with internal resources and third-party vendors for project execution.
• Troubleshoot web service and third-party environmental issues with cross-functional teams.
• Develop automation scripts using Java and XCode Utilities for iOS and Android apps.
• Write high-quality code that meets customer requirements.
• Create and review BDD feature files for iOS and Android apps.
• Debug and fix issues encountered during automation script execution.
• Enhance test coverage by automating various customer-facing scenarios.
• Analyze test results and reports to validate feature functionality.
• Collaborate with QA and business teams for system integration and UAT testing.
• Work closely with developers and QA team members to ensure solution quality.
• Analyze, debug, and rectify defects found during sprint, integration, and regression testing.
• Collaborate with Integration test teams for comprehensive QA and product testing.
• Assist in fixing reported issues found in production.
• Adhere to Agile/Scrum methodology for software development and reporting progress updates.

Requirements:

• Solid experience in mobile automation testing, including tools like Postman and Node.js.
• Proficiency in analyzing business requirements and coordinating across cross-functional teams.
• Ability to develop automation scripts using Java and XCode Utilities.
• Strong debugging skills to identify and fix issues in automation scripts.
• Familiarity with BDD methodologies and feature file creation.
• Expertise in coordinating with internal teams and third-party vendors.
• Strong communication skills to ensure seamless collaboration.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology for software development.
