Data Engineer - Neo4J Graph DB
Job Description: John Hancock US Data Office is looking for an exceptional data engineer (Neo4j Graph DB) to lead tperson discovery of hidden information using our massive data and leverage advanced analytics and machine learning techniques to enable data-driven strategic decision making.
Role: This critical resource will be developing taxonomies and ontologies to form a knowledge base to model and query knowledge graphs for entities commonly encountered in tperson life insurance/financial services domain. As a member of tperson Data Office team, this resource will work with Data Scientists as well as collaborate with insurance business operations teams to drive multiple initiatives within John Hancock.
Educational Qualification: Bacpersonlors or master's in computer science, Data Science
Required Skills
Relevant experience in general data base design with emphasis on graph storage models
Deep understanding of representing relational models using a graph database for large clusters of nodes
Strong background in algorithms, data structures, concurrency, distributed systems and data base architecture
Expertise in database querying (SQL, noSQL), Neo4j Cypperson Query Language , search techniques, web services etc.
Additional skills:
Excellent problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and collaborative skills
Fluent in a programming language (Python, R or similar)
Understanding of cloud computing (Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure)
Write reusable, efficient code to automate analysis and data processes
Proven experience building data pipelines in production for advanced analytics use cases
Strong sense of ownership and master hands-on technical work
Continuously learn to maintain strong knowledge of technology enabler
