Can you please provide a summary of the project/initiative which describes whats being done?
Support Database environment for Community & state LoB. Mainly Oracle. MySQL and PostgresSQL experience is desirable.
Please describe the team the candidate will be working with - how many members and what is the break-down of the teams skill sets (ex: 1 PM, 4 Developers, etc.)?
C&S Data Engineering team.
What does the ideal candidate background look like.
At least 5 years in IT operation support.
What are the top 5-10 responsibilities for this position?
Support highly critical application / database environment. The day to day activities include database migration, upgrade, patching, refreshing and trouble shooting. Participate in a weekly on-call rotation.
What skills/attributes are required.
Experience in Oracle 12c, 19c on Exadata/Linux, RAC environment. MySQL and PostgresSQL. Unix shell scripting.
What skills/attributes are nice to have: 2. 4+ years of strong Oracle RDBMS database administration experience 3. 4+ years of production support or technology administration supporting internal systems 4. 3+ years of strong UNIX / LINUX background 5. 3+ years of experience with UNIX Korn Shell 6. Implementation, Configuration of Oracle database 12c / 19c. and MySQL 7. Implement HA solution and define Backup / Recovery strategy 8. Define technical infrastructure environment using Oracle 9. Automate repeatable tasks
What are the work hours? 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. and be available 24 hours during the on-call rotation.
Be available during critical off-hour support.
What does the interview process look like? a. How many rounds? Two rounds. b. Video vs. phone? Phone. c. How technical will the interviews be? Technical about real world experience.
