Description:
Kafka Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Apache Kafka, including its architecture, configuration, and management. This role will involve setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting Kafka clusters to ensure high availability and performance.

- Install, configure, and maintain Apache Kafka clusters.
- Monitor Kafka cluster health and performance to ensure high availability and performance.
- Perform upgrades and patching of Kafka clusters.
- Manage Kafka users, topics, quotas, ACLs, and schemas.
- Develop and maintain Linux shell scripts for automation of deployment, monitoring, and operations tasks.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize Kafka configurations and performance.
- Implement security standards and policies to safeguard Kafka clusters.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any Kafka-related issues in a timely manner.
- Proactively assess and implement new Kafka features and technologies.
- Document Kafka processes, procedures, configurations, and environment architecture.
- Mentor team members and provide Kafka training when necessary.
- Utilize Python scripting for advanced automation and integration with other systems or tools, if applicable.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Kafka Administrator.
- Proficient in Linux shell scripting.
- Experience with Kafka brokers, Zookeepers, KSQL, Kafka Connect, and Kafka Streams.
- Strong understanding of Kafka internals and tuning parameters.
- Knowledge of Python programming is highly advantageous.
- Experience with source control (Git) and continuous integration tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and manage time effectively.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Certification in Apache Kafka.
- Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with other messaging systems like RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, etc
