Summary
MaineHealth Neurology is seeking a full-time board certified/eligible Cognitive Neurologist to join our well-established Neurology department as the Director of our Comprehensive Dementia Program. This primarily outpatient position is based at our new facility on the MaineHealth Scarborough Campus with on-site MRI and neurodiagnostic lab along with dedicated Dementia APP, Neuropsychologist, and Dementia care navigator. Inpatient rotations are at MaineHealth Maine Medical Center in Portland, the state's leading tertiary care hospital, and are limited and on a consulting basis without overnight call responsibilities.

- Direct an expanding Dementia program dedicated to providing patient-centered care close to home in a collegial and innovative setting, in collaboration with the geriatrics and geriatric psychiatry divisions.
- An active clinical research program is supported through MaineHealth Institute for Research.
- Join a well-established Neurology Department consisting of sub-specialty trained Adult and Pediatric neurologists, Neurohospitalists, and Advanced Practice Professionals supported by a robust clinical and administrative team.
- Hospital admission service, stroke and telestroke management, and after-hours phone call coverage is provided by a team of dedicated Neurohospitalists.
- Inpatient coverage is limited to an equitable share of daytime coverage on the consult service four to five weeks per year.
- Opportunity to teach Neurology residents, residents and fellows from other departments, and medical students.
