POSITION GOAL: To provide leadership, management and coordination of project/grant activities in collaboration with local LEAs and other agencies to ensure that all objectives and timelines are successfully met.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Locate, research, and prepare grant applications in collaboration with ESD staff and LEA's. Monitor, review, and coordinate post-award contract/grant activities to ensure that Board policies, administrative procedures and agency requirements are being followed. Serve as a liaison between the granting agency and the Business Office in the budgeting and preparation of grants and contracts. Review all components of grant submission, ensuring that the proposal is formatted, packaged, and submitted in accordance with granting agency requirements. Establish support structure and management of successful contract/grant awards. Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of the contract/grant. Develop and implement an effective contract/grant evaluation instrument. Develop professional development activities as they relate to the contract/grant. Assist in developing project goals, policies, and procedures. Establish and maintain cooperative work relationships with SOESD employees, local education agency representatives and others contacted during the course of the workday. Follow established SOESD policies and procedures. Perform physical requirements unaided or with the assistance of reasonable accommodation (see reverse). Perform job related duties as assigned by supervisor.
MINIMUM PREREQUISITES:Five or more years in public education, with successful experience in teaching, administration, or equivalent training and experience. Masters Degree preferred.
LENGTH OF POSITION: 260 day calendar (annual year-round position)
SALARY: Per administrative salary schedule: $84,171.19 - $101,182.37 annually for 2024-2025 school year.

- Developing and facilitating a regional collaborative on SUD in school-aged youth
- Build partnerships with local recovery supports and service providers to provide SUD recovery services on or near local public school campuses to reduce barriers to access for youth.
- Leverage partnerships with school-based health centers to increase access to SUD treatment and recovery services to school-aged youth.
- Provide high-quality professional development to both the school community around supporting youth in recovery and to the recovery community around navigating school systems effectively.
- Explore developing career pathways for youth in recovery that leverage their resilience, lived experience and skillset to benefit both the individual youth and the community in a meaningful and sustainable fashion.
- Facilitate a regional steering committee for the development of an authorized recovery high school in Southern Oregon, including application for ODE authorization and funding.
