What's the Role:
As the Principal Process Engineer - at Mills, you will lead the engineering teams in advanced design, performance, and process analysis for our mill liner product line. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, research and development, and project management, to deliver customized solutions that meet our client's unique requirements.
As a subject matter expert, you will join a worldwide team of experts in mineral processing, specializing in areas like metallurgy, mill operations, and more. You'll lead your specialty, offering guidance, training, and mentoring on solution principles.
As a go-to for advanced liners, you'll use your expertise to solve tough customer issues. You'll guide regional engineers, offer technical support, and ensure successful mill liner solutions.
You will oversee new product releases, offer ongoing technical support, and foster customer relationships in your region. You'll create trial chances for new offerings and provide valuable customer feedback for alignment.
You will encourage regionally advanced simulations and enhance the team's grasp of simulation analysis for mill optimization and liner design. You'll aid the launch of Bradken's digital tools, offering customer support.
As a collaborator across global teams, guiding tasks and achieving successful results. Partnering with sales, manufacturing, R&D, engineering, and digital strategy, you'll support existing and new product/service development.
Your expertise as a Principal Process Engineer in one or more areas of mineral processing, including process metallurgy, comminution circuits, mill operations, mill liner design, composite products, or discrete element method. In this role, you will provide specialized design, development, and engineering services for our Mineral Processing products, while managing and safeguarding Bradken's intellectual property.
As a Subject Matter Expert, you will collaborate closely with customers, Sales Managers, Engineering Managers, Team Leads, and Product Line Managers to deliver technical expertise and support, playing a key role in driving innovation and success within the Mineral Processing business.
Overall, you will provide technical guidance in the design of customized mill liner solutions and the provision of technical product support, knowledge management, and training to both internal and external stakeholders. You will ensure the team has the skills and can deliver guidance in the assessment of engineering, product customization, and services.
Key Technical Criteria:
This role is based in either, Canada, USA, South Africa, Kazakhstan, Indonesia, and Australia. This is a remote position.

Key Technical Criteria:
- Degree in mechanical engineering
- PhD /master's in engineering
- Qualified Professional Engineer with +10 years of mineral processing & mill liners
- Demonstrated experience using 3D modeling software, NX is highly regarded.
- Demonstrated experience in DEM, CFD, or SPH numerical modeling tools.
- Experience in programming preferably C++ and Python is an asset
- Understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
- Experience in grinding circuit analysis preferably JKSimmet
