Job Summary: SRCH's Lombardi Campus is deeply embedded in a Spanish-speaking and largely immigrant community. Under the direction of the Medical Director, the staff physician provides full-spectrum, primary care to patients of all ages as a member of the Patient Centered Medical Home team. The position includes a prenatal panel of singleton pregnancies, comprehensive reproductive health and gynecological care, and membership on the SRCH obstetric call team with attending and delivering physician responsibilities for SRCH's pregnant patients who are admitted to our affiliated hospital. This position also has a teaching role with the SRCH/Sutter Hospital Family Medicine Residency, primarily while on call and working with FM Residents inpatient, but on occasion including clinic as well.

Specific Tasks/Duties in Clinic:
- Create an ongoing, continuity primary care relationship with patients on your panel; diagnose and treat SRCH patients within the scope of your CA license and FM Board Certification; using evidence-based medicine and working with the support of a clinic team, including Medical Assistants, Nursing, and others.
- Proficiently use clinic EMR [OCHIN Epic], including signing encounters within agency timeline standards, and timely management of the Inbox .
- Facilitate referral for and coordination with other specialists or care centers, when needed, to support patient care.
- Promote and support quality initiatives by the agency, including input on improving workflows, treatment guidelines and protocols.
- Actively support organizational priorities of patient care; quality improvement; education; and financial sustainability, with an overarching goal of supporting and achieving a positive work environment.
- Participate in regular clinic, agency and clinician meetings, as well as other professional activities, as designated by the Site or Medical Director.
- Meet regularly with Clinician Lead and/or Medical Director to review patient care issues and provide input into the development of treatment guidelines and protocols.
- Provide as needed clinical supervision and direction to Family Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants who are members of your Team or part of the clinic.
- Serve as the assigned 'signing supervisor' for up to 4 non-independent FNPs or PAs.
- Participate in ongoing training; maintain HIPAA compliance; and support the variance reporting system when indicated.
Specific Tasks/Duties for OB Call Team:
- Take OB calls [primary or primary and backup], pending your role, as agreed by all call team members present.
- Provide clinical supervision of Family Medicine Residents on L&D while on call.
- Participate in weekly meeting for OB team, both as whole team, as well as Lombardi-specific meetings.
- Attend monthly OB CME and hospital OB/Peds M&M meetings.
- Maintain all necessary licenses and privileges as required by hospital and SRCH malpractice and insurance.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- Active California License; in good standing with the Medical Board of California.
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Family Medicine.
- If surgical privileges sought, completion of Obstetric Fellowship, including minimum 100 primary cesarean sections.
- ALSO certification current (Instructor status preferred)
- 50 deliveries in the last 36 months
- Current CPR (BLS adequate) certifications
Experience, knowledge and Skills:
- Demonstrated proficiency with procedures and tasks enumerated on Staff Physician competency list.
- Proficiency working with electronic medical records (EMR); specifically, Epic [both OCHIN in clinic, and Sutter Epic in hospital]. Experience with Outlook email function and related software products to enhance clinic and agency communication.
- Proficiency in Spanish and English (speak, read, and write), especially in medical setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to be sensitive with persons of various social, cultural, economic and educational backgrounds.
- Good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team, both in clinic and hospital.
