As the Integration Engineer, you will design, implement, and maintain the integration of healthcare information systems and devices.

What you'll get to do:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and maintain interfaces using the HL7 and other standards and other integration tools.
  • Develop and maintain integration solutions that facilitate the exchange of medical data between different healthcare applications such as radiology information systems (RIS), picture archiving and communication systems (PACS), voice recognition and dictation systems (VR), and electronic health records (EHR)


  • Configure, test, and troubleshoot HL7, FHIR, API, and DICOM interfaces to ensure proper data mapping, formatting, and transmission.
  • Ensure compliance with HL7 standards, HIPAA regulations, and other relevant policies and procedures.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to internal and external stakeholders on interface-related matters.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Healthcare Interoperability standards and industry best practices.
  • Manage and monitor integration engines and platforms to ensure optimal operation, performance, and protection.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to internal teams and external clients regarding integration issues.
  • Participate in evaluating and selecting third-party systems and tools related to HL7 and DICOM integration.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and propose innovative solutions to enhance system integration efficiency and data integrity.
  • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define project requirements, timelines, and deliverables related to system integrations.
  • Developing and executing test plans in support of new integrations or changes to existing.
  • Supporting critical projects, downtimes, and upgrades.
  • Update and maintain project, incident, and change control systems.


What you will bring:
  • Bachelor Degree in computer technology or related field; OR Associate Degree in computer technology or related field plus five years' experience managing interfaces and engines in complex healthcare environments; OR Equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A strong understanding of HL7 and DICOM standards
  • Familiarity with healthcare information systems like EHR, PACS, and RIS.
  • Knowledge of data exchange protocols and technologies, such as TCP/IP, SOAP, REST, and web services.
  • Experience with healthcare interoperability standards, including FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources), HL7.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions that meet client requirements.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
