GMC has an opening for a Leader of Debris Services to support debris monitoring and management projects in one of our office locations. This role will provide administrative, logistics, operations coordination, and management during emergency deployment and or activations. This leader will also develop and implement standard operating procedures as they relate to Debris Monitoring and Management services as well as Public Assistance.

GMC has an opening for a Leader of Debris Services to support debris monitoring and management projects in one of our office locations. This role will provide administrative, logistics, operations coordination, and management during emergency deployment and or activations. This leader will also develop and implement standard operating procedures as they relate to Debris Monitoring and Management services as well as Public Assistance.
Essential functions and responsibilities:
- Serve as the Debris Services business lead. Provide leadership, coordination, and management of debris monitoring and management services.
- Assist in the development of strategic plans for operational activity. Implement and manage operational plans. Communicate with senior management with regular updates on project status.
- Manage existing client relationships and engage in business development to identify and develop new clients for debris services.
- Identify and develop new clients / customers for products and services.
- Provide financial leadership to the business monitoring budget and controlling costs through strategic pricing of debris projects.
- Improve processes and policies in support of organizational goals. Formulate and implement departmental and organizational policies and procedures to maximize output. Monitor adherence to rules, regulations, and procedures. Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of methods, costs, and results. Utilize financial data to improve profitability.
- Foster and maintain critical client relationships.
- Participate in the development of new project proposals including associated costs.
- Develop, establish, and implement standard operating procedures.
- Promote positive relations with partners, vendors, and distributors.
- Monitor current and developing client contracts for content and requirements.
- Recommend and administer policies to enhance current operational procedures.
- Partner with corporate leaders to project future growth and corollary business strategy.
- Constantly monitor active storms such as hurricanes, tornados and severe winter weather for possible Federal Declarations and contact potential clients in the affected areas.
- Identify high-performers and develop future leaders through mentoring circles and talent development opportunities.
- 10-15 years' experience in federal, state, or local government planning or emergency management.
- Bachelor's Degree in an Emergency Management or Public Policy-related field or equivalent experience.
Minimum qualifications:
- 10 to 15 years of debris management experience in an emergency response company.
- Proven ability to monitor budgets and control costs through strategic pricing of debris projects.
- Prior experience in Data Management and Information Technology.
- Interest in growing, both personally and professionally, in the field of emergency preparedness and response.
- Training-related skills such as public speaking, curriculum development or classroom equivalent.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects in a changing work environment.
- Ability to work independently and/or on a team.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Comfortable interacting with Clients.
- Ability to deploy within 24 hours of notification.
- May require regular extended work hours in a work week.
- May require relocating to emergency sites that require functioning under intense physical stress.
