Fresenius Kabi Canada is recruiting a for a new role: Director, Commercial Excellence

Position Summary

This newly created role will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer. In this role, the successful candidate will spearhead initiatives to enhance the profitability and growth of all products and services in Canada.

This role will serve as the primary liaison between Canadian commercial operations and regional and global teams, driving the implementation of the Global Commercial Excellence Roadmap.

This position requires deep market insights and a focus on enhancing CRM usage, streamlining processes, and fostering collaboration across sales, service, and marketing teams.

The ideal candidate will leverage best practices, ultimately cultivating the Fresenius Kabi brand and expanding market share in Canada.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Champion Commercial Excellence initiatives within Canada to improve the effectiveness of commercial functions and to drive profitability and growth.
  • Lead, implement and manage Commercial Excellence in Canada through collaboration with the Global Commercial Excellence team, Business Units and Regional Commercial Operations. This includes but not limited to implementation of product strategies, identification of new business opportunities and maximizing organization efficiency.
  • Conduct business analysis and make recommendations to optimize:
    • go-to-market strategy, market insight intelligence, sales and service effectiveness, launch excellence, marketing strategy, pricing and tender management, commercial reporting and analytics.
  • Be the key contact person for Canada in relation to global digitalization initiatives, participate in the Commercial Excellence leadership team.
  • Be the Canadian expert sharing insights on market dynamics to the Regional Leadership and Business Units at global level.
  • Drive process improvement and create synergies in measurement and analytics for sales, service, and marketing teams.
  • Support the continuous improvement efforts of CRM usage, configuration, and localization.
  • Create and leverage best practices for all of the Commercial functions
  • Partner with Sales, Service, and Marketing to refine processes, analyze and report on launch performance, customer engagement/call plans, and multi-channel campaign performance with reporting and KPI dashboards
  • Refine customer segmentation and assist with overall territory mapping
  • Streamline data & analytics, review and recommend best practice in the sales process, review and recommend best practice in development of commercial incentives, support new commercial tool deployments.
  • Work with Canadian stakeholders to shape and streamline Commercial Excellence agenda and deliverables


Qualifications
  • Masters degree holder in any business discipline or life science discipline.
  • 3-5 years' experience within a commercial excellence, project management, analytics, and sales process transformation preferably from the pharmaceutical, generics, or medical device field.
  • Comfortable with up to 25% travelling.

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strategic thinker - Detail oriented with ability to take a step back and think strategically and make critical recommendations and decisions
  • Excellent data analysis and reporting skills
  • Experience with CRM, CPQ (configure, price, quote), Territory mapping tools, SFE Sales force excellence including incentive compensation.
  • Experience Business Intelligence tools.
  • Sound knowledge of databases and proficient in the use of Excel.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels, from Sales Representatives to senior management.
  • Strong business acumen and highly analytical with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently whilst supporting a strong team spirit.
  • Proficiency in English essential. Fluency in French an advantage but not essential.
