Associate Vice President of Corporate & Foundation Partnerships (Regular, Full-Time)
Development
Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Development the Associate Vice President of Corporate & Foundation Partnerships (AVP) will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy focused on securing major gifts from corporations and foundations. This role will require a proven track record of building and managing relationships with high-level executives, cultivating new partnerships, and closing significant financial commitments ranging from $250,000 to $10,000,000+. This position will also have the opportunity to oversee and implement a multi-faceted sponsorship strategy for the opening of LACMA's David Geffen Galleries. The AVP supervises the Corporate Partnerships Team composed of a Director, Manager and Administrative Assistant and the Foundation Partnerships team composed of a Senior Director, Manager and Coordinator.

This position will also have the opportunity to oversee and implement a multi-faceted sponsorship strategy for the opening of LACMA's David Geffen Galleries. The AVP supervises the Corporate Partnerships Team composed of a Director, Manager and Administrative Assistant and the Foundation Partnerships team composed of a Senior Director, Manager and Coordinator.
Responsibilities:
- Creates and implements a strategic plan to identify, cultivate, and solicit new corporate and foundation donors
- Establishes and maintains strong relationships with new and existing partners to increase support for LACMA's core programs and new building projects
- Develops compelling proposals that effectively communicate the organization's mission, programs, and fundraising needs
- Leads negotiations with targeted donors to secure major gifts and commitments
- Identifies, manages and assists with solicitations by the Senior Vice President of Development and the CEO and Wallis Annenberg Director of the Museum
- Serves as a spokesperson for the organization at various events and meetings
- Develops and oversees management of the departments expense budget
- Performs other duties or special projects as assigned
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance

- The expected annual salary for this Los Angeles, CA based position is $160,000.00 - $185,000.00 subject to change, and the position is eligible for LACMA's comprehensive benefits package, including pension plan.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts or related field;
- Minimum 8 years of relevant non-profit fundraising expertise with experience working on capital campaigns preferred; at least 6 years of management and supervisory experience
- Proven track record of securing, managing and renewing 6-7-8 figure, multi-faceted, complex partnerships
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including the ability to build, maintain and navigate relationships with high-level executives both internally and externally
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong organization and time management skills
