Description:
Foundation Automotive is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Controller to join our dynamic team. The Controller will oversee all financial aspects of our automotive dealerships, ensuring accurate financial reporting, efficient accounting operations, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Office staff is centralized in Houston, the Controller will need to be willing to work via teams/zoom regularly wit the transactional accounting team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Prepare financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses
- Oversee cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions
- Collaborate with department managers to analyze financial performance and support decision-making
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and other statutory requirements
- Conduct regular audits to identify discrepancies and implement corrective measures
- Assist in the implementation of accounting software and other technological enhancements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation preferred
- Proven experience in this role working with an automotive retailer (required)
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong knowledge of financial principles, regulations, and best practices
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Exceptional leadership and communication abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
