The Opportunity

Altrad is currently in search of experienced Insulation Superintendents to become a vital part of our team at a prominent Construction Project situated in Kitimat, BC. This role entails a 20:8 roster working 10 hours per day. Flights and accommodation will be provided on a Full-Time/Fixed-Term Contract basis. As the Insulation Superintendent, you will be responsible for managing the installation of insulation systems and delivering exceptional customer service. You will be responsible for ensuring that all insulation job sites are managed according to safety standards and the installation is completed on time and to the client's satisfaction. To be successful in this role, you should have excellent organizational and communication skills, be detail-oriented, and have experience in managing projects from start to finish.

Job Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of insulation construction projects
  • Ensure project is completed within budget and in a timely manner
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets
  • Supervise all personnel involved in insulation construction
  • Monitor progress and troubleshoot any issues that arise
  • Maintain safety standards throughout the project
  • Ensure quality control of insulation materials and installation
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to insulation installers
  • Negotiate contracts and resolve disputes with vendors and subcontractors
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable codes and regulations
  • Coordinate and communicate with other departments and contractors
  • Document all project activities and maintain accurate records


Job Requirements
  • Proven experience in the insulating industry Journeyman Red Seal Insulator ticket or equivalent
  • Previous Supervision experience
  • Knowledge of insulation materials and techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Ability to assess job site safety and work with safety regulations
  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to train and direct crews in the safe installation of insulation
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and reports
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work on ladders, scaffolds, and in tight areas
  • Ability to work in extreme environmental conditions, such as heat and cold
