Job Responsibilities: What you will do.
  • Establish standard costs and update them in accordance with company policies.
  • Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
  • Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including inventory, fixed assets, and other asset accounts.
  • Evaluate Excess and Obsolete inventory reserves, as part of the closing process.
  • Analyzing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
  • Reviewing changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided, to determine effects on cost.
  • Performing month-end cost accounting close, including the preparation of journal entries.
  • Coordinates physical inventories and monitors the cycle count programs.
  • Assist in the preparation of balance sheet and income statement fluctuation analyses.
  • Perform general accounting duties as required.
  • Perform analyses of general ledger account details, when required.
  • Assist in the aggregation of consolidated inventory for financial reporting purposes.
  • Liaise with external auditors in resolving their audit requests in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for assisting in updating documentation of process and procedures for SOX purposes, and ensuring controls are executed.
  • Work with other finance personnel in gathering supporting documentation for the financial statement and SOX audits.
  • Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications: What you will bring.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting required.
  • Experience with complex ERP systems is required.
  • Experience with standard costing and average costing methods is required.
  • CPA or CMA preferred.
  • 5-10 years experience required; experience with telecom or other high-tech equipment manufacturers a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Cost Accounting experience.
  • Experience with process improvement projects and ability to manage multiple ongoing projects.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills are required.
  • Diligent, highly efficient, and accurate, with extreme attention to detail and exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Self-starter, effective follow through, and timely in providing status updates.
  • Ability to work independently and productively in a dynamic environment, as well as being a solutions-oriented team player.
  • Strong interpersonal/communication skills are required; both written and verbal communications ability is critical.
  • Potential for advancement.
  • Should be a quick learner and self-starter who can work both independently and within a team environment and is accustomed to working with tight deadlines. Able to work flexible hours as needed during peak times.
