The Opportunity:

The Cybersecurity Policy Analyst will be responsible for reviewing, assessing, and recommending mitigation to cyber security threats to the Defense Industrial Base (DIB). The responsibilities will include identifying and addressing cybersecurity risks associated with foreign investment in the DIB, along with regular and active engagement with cybersecurity stakeholders across the DoD and US government. The Cybersecurity Policy Analyst will leverage best practices and lessons learned of external organizations and academic institutions dealing with cyber issues.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Review, assess, and recommend mitigation to cyber security threats to the Defense Industrial Base (DIB).
  • Identify and address cybersecurity risks associated with foreign investment in the DIB.
  • Regularly engage with cybersecurity stakeholders across the DoD and US government.
  • Leverage best practices and lessons learned of external organizations and academic institutions dealing with cyber issues.
  • Develop policy, plans, and strategy in compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and standards in support of organizational cyber activities.
  • Understand applicable laws, statutes (e.g., in Titles 10, 18, 32, 50 in U.S. Code), Presidential Directives, executive branch guidelines, and/or administrative/criminal legal guidelines and procedures.
  • Understand the organization's core business/mission processes.
  • Understand strategic theory and practice.
  • Understand emerging technologies that have potential for exploitation.
  • Understand current and emerging cyber technologies.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • TS/SCI Clearance Required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technology/IT/Cybersecurity field
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity policy analysis or related field
  • Baseline Knowledge of Defense Industrial Base or relevant Commercial technology supply chain threats and associated risks.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, statutes (e.g., in Titles 10, 18, 32, 50 in U.S. Code), Presidential Directives, executive branch guidelines and procedures
  • Knowledge or ability to quickly become proficient understanding the OUSD Acquisition and Sustainment's (A&S) core business/mission processes
  • Ability to develop policy, plans, and strategy in compliance with Federal and State laws, regulations, policies, and standards in support of organizational activities

Desired Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in the areas of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or Cyber Security
  • Cybersecurity Industry certifications, such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Previous OSD or major staff experience and/or ability to develop strategic relationships across DoD, IC, and federal Organizations as required
  • Knowledge of emerging cyber technologies that have potential for exploitation
