Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated System Administrator/Cloud Engineer to join our technical team in supporting the advancement of AI/ML and Data Science technologies. The successful candidate will be a key contributor to the team, focusing on the design, deployment, and management of cloud infrastructure in an enterprise environment. This role requires a deep understanding of system administration, automation technologies, scripting, and security practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure to support AI/ML/Data Science workloads in a scalable and secure manner.
• Provide system administration support, including the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, networks, and other infrastructure components.
• Work closely with enterprise teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of cloud resources within the broader enterprise digitization infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline system management and cloud infrastructure tasks, improving overall efficiency.
• Ensure the security of cloud environments by implementing best practices for access control, encryption, and system monitoring.
• Assist with the accreditation processes, ensuring that the cloud infrastructure meets necessary compliance and security standards.
• Troubleshoot complex system and cloud-related issues and work towards timely resolutions.
• Collaborate with development and data science teams to optimize cloud infrastructure for AI/ML and Data Science applications.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies, automation tools, and security practices to continuously improve the infrastructure and processes.

Required Skills

• Active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in system administration and cloud engineering roles.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong proficiency in automation tools and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Ansible, or Terraform.
• Solid understanding of security practices, including encryption, access control, and security monitoring.
• Knowledge of accreditation processes and procedures for cloud infrastructure.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders.

Desired Skills

• Experience supporting AI/ML or Data Science environments in the cloud.
• Knowledge of enterprise digitization infrastructure and large-scale cloud deployments.
• Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, or similar are highly desirable.
