Job Overview
We are seeking anexperienced Infrastructure Solutions Architect Networking with strong expertise in Azure networking todesign, implement, and manage our enterprise network infrastructure. You willplay a critical role in ensuring high availability, scalability, and securityof both on-premises and cloud-based network systems. This role involvescollaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver advanced networksolutions, optimize performance, and contribute to cloud migration strategies,particularly in Microsoft Azure. The Infrastructure Solutions Architect Networking contributes to theoverall technology roadmap.
KeyResponsibilities:
- Network Architecture & Design:Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network solutions (LAN, WAN, VPN,firewalls) with a special focus on Azure networking services such as VirtualNetworks (VNet), Azure Firewall, Network Security Groups (NSGs), and AzureExpressRoute.
- Cloud Integration: Work closely withcloud teams to integrate on-premises network infrastructure with Azure-basedenvironments, ensuring smooth connectivity, security, and optimal performance.
- Azure Networking: Manage and optimizeAzure networking components, including VNet peering, traffic management, loadbalancing, and hybrid networking (ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway).
- Network Troubleshooting: Diagnose andresolve network issues in both cloud and on-prem environments, ensuring minimaldowntime and performance degradation.
- Network Security: Implement bestpractices for network security in hybrid environments, including firewalls,VPNs, security groups, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Automation & Monitoring: Automatenetwork configuration and monitoring using tools like Azure Network Watcher,Azure Automation, and PowerShell scripting. Implement proactive monitoringsystems to identify potential issues before they affect operations.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor andoptimize network performance, identifying opportunities for improvement in bothcloud and on-premises environments.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed andup-to-date documentation of network configurations, procedures, andtroubleshooting guides.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance andmentorship to peers and help drive continuous improvement in networkoperations.
Required Skills& Qualifications:
- Experience: 5+ years in networkengineering, with at least 2 years of hands-on experience with Azure networkingservices.
- Education: Bachelor'sdegree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (orequivalent experience).
- Certifications: Azure certifications(such as Azure Network Engineer Associate) and/or relevant Cisco certifications(e.g., CCNA, CCNP) are highly desirable.
- Cloud Networking: Strong understandingof Azure networking components (VNet, NSG, Azure Load Balancer, Azure TrafficManager, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway).
- Traditional Networking: Expertise inconfiguring and managing enterprise-grade network equipment (e.g. Cisco,Juniper, Palo Alto, etc.), including firewalls, routers, switches, and VPNs.
- Security: Solid understanding ofnetwork security principles and experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNtechnologies in both cloud and traditional networks.
- Automation: Proficiency in networkautomation and scripting (PowerShell, Python, or similar), ARM templates,Terraform or other scripting tools is a plus
- Monitoring Tools: Familiarity withmonitoring and diagnostic tools such as Azure Network Watcher, SolarWinds,Wireshark, or equivalent.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical andtroubleshooting skills, attention to detail, excellent communication, and theability to work in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with hybrid cloudenvironments and integrating Azure with other cloud providers (AWS, GCP).
- Familiarity with Kubernetes networkingand containerized environments.
- Experience with SD-WAN technologies.
