Description:
This Clinical Application Specialist (CAS) is responsible for implementing, supporting, and optimizing Meditech Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems for the organization. The CAS works with internal and external teams to ensure quality of services, and applications. The focus will be current and future enterprise EHR Platform needs and changes. Will carry out product plans to meet functional and non-functional requirements of business units.
Will work to improve existing EHR Service, deploy changes and support end user training. This role will be a key contributor to ensuring the CNS organizational needs are met by the EHR platform.

REQUIREMENTS:
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It's not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are arrived at each unique case. A reasonable estimate of the current wage is $90,000 - $110,000.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains current understanding of emerging technologies aligned to business needs. Actively identifies new areas for learning; regularly creates and takes advantage of learning opportunities. Uses newly gained knowledge and skill on the job.
- Identifies long- and short-range projects/plans to drive improvements in areas of assigned responsibility. Partners with IT leadership to align on key strategies and priorities.
- Assists in the production support and maintenance of applications, performing feasibility studies and proof of concepts to evaluate solutions.
- Provides clear communication on approach, status, issues, and risks on a regular basis to manage stakeholder expectations. Uses appropriate interpersonal styles to establish effective relationships with customers and internal partners; interacts with others in a way that promotes openness and trust and gives them confidence in one's intentions.
- Seeks customer feedback regularly to ensure services and support are efficient and effective. Surfaces and identifies repeat problems or service challenges. Crafts and drives improvement plan to close gaps.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or equivalent in a relevant field. Experience will be considered in place of a degree.
- 5 years of experience in clinical application support. Previous experience in a health care setting required.
- Experience with Electronic Medical/Health Record (EMR or EHR) Systems interfacing (HL7 version 2 and 4 families) preferred.
- Direct backend systems knowledge and experience with Meditech and Meditech Expanse EHR preferred.
