Job Description

The Project Engineer III is responsible for managing all aspects of project assignments using the Product Development Process (PDP) as a guide to achieve project objectives for New Product Development projects. Responsible for product maintenance, cost improvement, quality improvement and similar projects. Directs and coordinates a project team in the planning, organization, implementation, and completion of engineering project assignments.

This position will serve our Air Division, located in Fort Smith, AR.

Responsibilities

  • Engineering Design and Evaluation: (a) Perform engineering design evaluations to ensure project feasibility and compliance with industry standards; (b) Work to complete projects within budget and scheduling restraints.
  • Data Accuracy and Compliance: (a) Review industry policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance; (b) Address any discrepancies or issues promptly.
  • Technical Support: (a) Provide technical support throughout the engineering process. (b) Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address challenges.
  • Operational Planning and Monitoring: (a) Design, implement, and communicate an operational plan for completing the project; (b) Monitor progress and performance against the project plan.
  • Problem Resolution and Resource Management: (a) Take action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays; (b) Identify, develop, and gather resources necessary to complete the project.
  • Engineering Documentation and Forecasting: (a) Prepare engineering designs and work specifications. (b) Develop project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is typically required.
  • Minimum of five years of related experience.
  • Proven work experience as a Project Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Excellent knowledge of design and visualization software.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Familiarity with industry rules, regulations, best practices, and performance standards.
  • Ability to work with multiple discipline projects.
  • Strong project management and supervision skills.
