The HQ Air Force Research Laboratory seeks to fill the position of Division Chief, Staff Integration & Operations Division (AFRL/DSO), serves as the key business advisor and professional expert in the areas of facilities management, security, information management, and logistics. The AFRL/DSO Chief establishes a culture of customer service, analyzes current business processes, and utilizes customer feedback and organizational data to integrate and streamline HQ processes in the identified areas directly impacting the daily operations of the HQ and its ability to establish an office of the future construct. Position duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Responsible for the planning and leadership of financial/technical assessments to make determinations on the impact of a variety of resources.
  • Orchestrates, facilitates, and coordinates all operational support for HQ AFRL to include leading 4 teams: Security, Logistics, Information Management, and HQ Facilities Management.
  • Establishes HQ policy for logistics and information management and partners with other AFRL organizations to develop and implement best practices.
  • Develops HQ processes and policies as needed for all aspects of operations and resource management.
  • Partners with HQ Leadership and impacted organizations to establish requirements. Leads teams to establish strategic plans to meet identified requirements.
  • Monitors cost, schedule, and performance of facilities projects and ensures that project status is transparent to impacted organizations.
  • Identifies resourcing shortfalls and develops mitigation strategies; partners with impacted stakeholders and DS leadership to implement.

Required Qualifications

  • US Citizenship
  • Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade of position being advertised, or equivalent in other pay systems.
  • Obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance.
  • This position may be deemed a drug testing designated position.

Desired Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience with process transformation, to include integration and streamlining of requirements.
  • Experience in leading teams and implementing strategic change management initiatives, with an emphasis on developing a culture of customer service.
  • Experience in DAF and S&T Supply and Logistics, Security management, and Facilities Management.
