Description:
America's Favorite Jeweler, Ross-Simons, a division of Luxury Brand Holdings, is seeking a Senior Accountantbased in our Cranston, RI office. The position will assume a leadership role within the Accounting team to help guide daily financial activities, be responsible for month-end closing activities including journal entries, account reconciliations and fluctuation analysis as well as make recommendations to improve existing accounting systems in an e-commerce DTC retailer environment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Financial Accounting
- Perform financial month-end closing activities including preparing and posting journal entries in accordance with GAAP, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and ensuring accuracy of financial data
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports for Senior Management, including variance analysis on balance sheet and income statement accounts and related commentary
- Support periodic and year-end external audits and provide necessary documentation
Reporting and Compliance
- Manage sales and use tax reporting with 3rd party vendor, including interpreting and applying existing laws and proposed regulations to ensure compliance
- Oversee fixed asset accounting, analyze and forecast CapEx spend against projects and provide reporting to assist with oversight and management of spend
Performance Management
- Provide guidance and support to finance team regarding financial information and accounting policies
- Recommend initiatives for process optimization and automation to support company growth
- Contribute to department and organization special projects as assigned
Experience and Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting required
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, complex formulas, and clear presentation of data
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferable in a similar role
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management skills
