Engineering Manager- Mechatronics Product Development

NOTE: This position is for Yamaha Motor Manufacturing Corporation in Newnan, GA.

Leads all aspects of the Mechatronics Development team including delivery, quality, and cost controls. Supervises and supports Mechatronics Development Personnel in achievement of the product plan. Key member of leadership team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage, Develop, test, and troubleshoot electrical and electro-mechanical systems and components to meet product development objectives.
• Leads research, planning, and implementation of new technologies to meet customer expectations.
• Lead the design, testing, and evaluation of vehicle electrical and wiring systems.
• Lead the development and testing of embedded systems with and without GUI
• Functional usage of CAD to develop / review electrical and mechanical systems.
• Concisely communicating technical information with cross departmental project teams.
• Concisely communicating project plans and status updates with upper management.
• Assists in schedule, budget, and resource planning.
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements related to electro-mechanical systems and components.
• Perform other duties, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in mechanical design.
• Experience in electronic design.
• Experience in automated test equipment.
• Experience in embedded system design/programming.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 4-year college degree(Bachelor's in Mechatronics Engineering preferred) or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years management experience

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• 80%-100% time spent in office environment.
