This position will provide technical leadership support to manufacturing to ensure less downtime and improve efficiencies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible to develop & deploy hardware/software solutions plantwide. Responsible to work in a team environment collaborating on solutions and assisting in other areas where needed.
- Responsible for maintaining related hardware/systems for optimal performance supporting plant uptime.
- Responsible for developing dashboards, digital tools, custom programs, and software to improve plant-wide job efficiencies.
- Responsible for building specifications, sourcing, and implementing software/hardware for projects while maintaining documentation of the system.
- Responsible for waste reduction and cost reduction activities such as: activities including overproduction, muda, gourika, M0 / S 1/2, and other non value-added work.
- Develop and document training for equipment and software to ensure for end users to be properly trained to operate.
- Experience with networking hardware: Servers, Switches, Routers
- Experience with Windows Server Environments
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, C based, Python, & Visual Basic
- Experience with SQL & database concepts
- Experience with equipment maintenance and repair (mechanical and electrical).
- Ensure plant and OSHA safety requirements are followed for all implementation projects
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Coordinate with other departments to develop & deploy custom solutions.
- Responsible for meeting department budget.
- Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
- Will perform other reasonably related tasks within the Company as required by the Supervisor or Management.

- Knowledge of electronic automotive manufacturing.
- Knowledge of the Toyota Production System and JIT.
- Computer Science knowledge.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor of science 4+ year degree
- The university issuing this degree must have a H.L.C. and A.B.E.T. accreditation.
- Accepted Engineering or Engineering Technology degrees: Computer Science
- Computer engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems Technology,
- Computer Software Engineering, Information Science
- 5 years of prior applicable experience in manufacturing.
- Electronics experience desired.
- Automotive experience desired.
- Valid passport for travel required for travel
- Solidworks or other CAD drawing software experience preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Some dust, noise, oils, greases, grinding debris, compressed air, metal shavings, propane, solvents and occasional heavy lifting.
- Exposed to hazardous machinery and/or conditions that could result in injury up to and including a fatality if safety measures are not followed and adhered to.
- Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, oils. The performance of this position normally requires exposure to a typical manufacturing areas were under certain conditions that require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety shoes and safety glasses.
- Open staff room with constant activity and interaction with cross-functional divisions, departments, and sections. Must be able to effectively change tasks at a moment's notice when the situation requires.
