Overview:
Responsible for supporting all Central Bancompany markets in the sales of the bank's Commercial Payments - Automated Accounts Payable and Commercial Card products to targeted companies in designated sales territories.
Essential Functions:
Learn the Commercial Payments products and services offered
Develop new Commercial Payments customers through prospecting and working with bank referral sources
Perform joint sales calls with markets
Provide product knowledge training to bankers
Support markets in handling complex prospect, pricing and technical situations
Obtain market and individually assigned sales goals
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Intermediate understanding of credit card transaction processing business
Working knowledge of industry rules & regulations, accounts payable systems, programming and card product attributes
Excellent presentation skills and sales skills
Ability to listen to the needs of the customer with problem solving abilities
Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail
Effective at sourcing leads, setting appointments and follow-up
Knowledge of sales process, operational functions, implementation process, business development, preparing requests for proposals and strong customer contact
Some travel required with overnight trips to markets, conferences and for training purposes
Education/ Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in treasury management preferred
Experienced in "solution selling" - having the ability to work with clients by identifying company goals/initiatives and move the sale through the sales cycle to close
Experience working with C-level decision makers and negotiating pricing/contracts.
