Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Machine Shop Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance operations of our machine shop facility. The Machine Shop Maintenance Manager will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of all machinery and equipment, managing a team of maintenance technicians, and implementing preventive maintenance programs. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for mentoring and training the maintenance team to enhance their technical skills and promote continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, excellent leadership abilities, and a keen eye for detail.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and lead a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program to ensure the optimal performance and longevity of all machines and equipment.
  • Coordinate and prioritize maintenance activities, including the installation, calibration, and modification of machinery and equipment, ensuring minimal disruption to production schedules and improving efficiency and productivity.
  • Identify and source the most cost-effective parts, whether aftermarket or OEM, by evaluating both cost and lead time to ensure timely and high-quality repairs.
  • Oversee and track all maintenance jobs, ensuring accurate documentation of equipment repairs, spare parts inventory, and maintenance costs. Collaborate with production managers to schedule maintenance efficiently and optimize machine availability.


REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience as a maintenance manager or similar role in a machine shop or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of various types of machinery and equipment used in a machine shop.
  • Excellent leadership skills with ability to effectively manage and motivate a team of maintenance technicians.
  • Experience in developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
