Application Manager - Cloud

Our Corporate Applications team is seeking an Application Manager to join the team and support our Cloud initiatives. Application Managers are responsible for managing and supporting the software applications delivered by the department. Application Managers work closely with internal customers and teams to ensure the applications are performing as intended and meet the business and customer needs. Application Managers have a strong development background, with experience in support diagnosing and resolving issues.

Role & Responsibilities

• Understand BIW customer business needs.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts, resolve issues quickly, and remediate software as needed.
• Provide direction for the software engineering team.
• Experience working with offshore resources.

Skills & Abilities

• Strong experience in cloud application management and support.
• Experience with a variety of tech stacks and tools.
• Expertise with SQL queries to aid in validation and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with procedural and object-oriented development languages, such as Java and PL/SQL.
• Working knowledge of micro-service architecture concepts.
• Highly organized.
• Comfortable testing applications.
• Strong communication and multi-tasking skills.
• Ability to work well with a cross-functional team of varying technical skill sets.
• Driven, self-motivated individual that takes pride in your work, ownership of your projects, and is accountable for the success of applications.

Education/Experience Required

• Minimum 5 years technical application management experience.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in cloud computing.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in financial systems or ecommerce; PeopleSoft, Workday, NetSuite highly preferred.
• BS/BA in Computer Science or related field, preferred.
