Blackstone Consulting, Inc. is seeking an ASP Manager for their Healthcare Security Client in California.

LOCATION: This position will oversee multiple Protection Security Supervisors (PSS) at multiple locations and will be expected to travel 60% in the Bay Arera area as required by the company and client.

BCI seeks a dedicated and passionate Advanced Security Program Manager to serve as an integral part of the security and care delivery team for a leading healthcare provider.

The Advanced Security Program Manager is a mid-level position. This role is responsible for overseeing and managing Protective Security Supervisors (PSS) for the Advanced Security Program for a large healthcare security portfolio while establishing a comprehensive security program to safeguard the people, property, assets and interests of the client. Their primary role is to manage day-to-day operations efficiently and effectively, invest and develop a high performing team, and to achieve service and profitability objectives.

The Manager will be asked to work in a complex environment using his/her relationships building skills, strategic thinking, facilitation, and project execution skills to drive vision, strategy, and results for day-to-day operations and improvement strategies within their assigned area.

Responsibilities/Duties:

Oversee and Invest in the Development of Contract Security Personnel
  • Oversees and assists in directing the implementation of new training development programs
  • Oversees the PSSs to ensure the implementation of training for contract staff is carried out efficiently and effectively
  • Mentors and develops future leaders with a mind to providing appropriate succession planning for the area
  • Identifies and implements successful programs to develop managerial staff and contract employees
  • Enhance managerial and contract staff skill sets through training to ensure the program meets or exceeds the Advanced Security Practices specific to: Compliance, Orders Policy and Training, Advanced Security Operations, Leadership and Accountability, and Technical Security Systems
  • Oversees and approves disciplinary matters at the sites to ensure that the outcome is appropriately investigated to a high level and managed in partnership with the appropriate HR teams
  • Develops strategies with the PSSs to address workforce management gaps and deficiencies to the master schedules


Stakeholder Management & Liaison
  • Partners closely with the customer to guide program development
  • Partner with Security Managers and customer leaders to ensure timely notification and escalation of adverse events
  • Ensures the delivery of high-quality customer service through regular contact with customers; evaluates service quality and initiates corrective action as necessary
  • Meets regularly with client representatives for security program status updates and addresses any actual or potential problems; supports client temporary start-ups
  • Oversees account management and ensures appropriate staffing to include management level representation
  • Acts as an escalation point for internal concerns and/or service contract decisions
  • Shares the security story - highlights key wins and promotes excellent work


Strategy & Planning
  • Sets operational targets aligned to company goals and objectives
  • Develops and implements strategies, procedures, and business plans to enhance contract performance based on the Advanced Security Practices
  • Partner with customer for security planning, program assessments and surveys with Security Managers and customer
  • Provides Subject Matter Expert (SME) oversite and review of post orders and policies developed for the Advanced Security Program in partnership with the customer
  • Provides leadership, consultation, and execution for major field initiatives
  • Drives continuous improvement with security teams to ensure an evolving team that meets customer expectations and the changing security landscape


Contract & Regulatory Compliance
  • Ensures that security site management maintains the regulatory compliance program at 95% or better
  • Ensures proper staffing requirements are met in line with the master schedule
  • Oversees PSS training and performance to ensure practices meets standards set forth by the regulatory agencies (TJC, CDPH, CMS etc.)
  • Works closely with hiring teams to ensure that hiring of officers ensures quality candidates and meets the standards for regulatory compliance


Financial Review, Authorization and Company Performance
  • Analyzes operational and financial indicators to continuously improve performance; ensures positive financial operations within area accountability.
  • Authorizes appropriate expenditures including equipment, supplies, and vehicles; ensures vehicles are properly maintained and administers driver training; ensures adequate inventory of uniforms, etc. maintains and submits payroll records and other required information
  • Authorizes spend for direct hires utilizing BCI's Concur system

Preferred/ Education Experience
  • Three to five years of law enforcement or security training experience, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
