Job Title: Locum Emergency Medicine Physician Job Specialty: Emergency Medicine Job Duration: Start in November 2024 for 13 weeks Shift: 24-Hour Shifts: 6-3, 12-9, 3-12, 9-6 Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Not specified License: Michigan License required Certifications: Board Certified Must-Have: - Must have a clean background - Local providers only Job Description: - Provide coverage in the Emergency Department - Handle up to 1.8 patients per hour - Work with a supportive team including APPs, nursing, and tech staff - Utilize Cerner for EHR - Perform a variety of medical procedures such as: - Adult and pediatric outpatient care - Newborn resuscitation - Management of orthopedic non-displaced fractures - Suturing minor lacerations - Incision and drainage - Management of psychiatric cases (adult, child/adolescent, geriatric) - Ventilation management and airway establishment - Acute volume/BP issue evaluation and management - Central and arterial line insertion - EKG interpretation - Arthrocentesis, lumbar puncture, and paracentesis - Manage common industrial-related medical problems Additional Information: - Expenses covered include car, fuel, and mileage - Use reverse billing system with clock in/out method
