ECS is seeking a qualified AI/ML scientist to support transformative science and technology solutions for the Department of Energy.
Serve as AI/ML Expert:
- Act as a senior consultant in complex or mission critical client requirements. Develop, modify, and apply computer modeling and programming applications to analyze and solve mathematical and scientific problems affecting system and program performance. Participate in all phases of scientific and engineering projects such as research, design, development, testing, modeling, simulating, training, and documentation.
- AI/ML expert will help devise and guide program initiatives related to the integration, adoption, and institutionalization of AI/ML techniques, methods, and solutions within the healthcare setting.
Analyze and interpret complex data:
- Utilize knowledge and machine learning methods to identify patterns and insights from vast datasets.
Stay current with scientific advancements:
- Actively track and analyze new research findings in this field.
- Identify and propose emerging methodologies and technologies that could enhance the program's progress.
- Participate in scientific discussions and presentations, contributing your expertise to the program's overall knowledge base.
Collaborate effectively within a diverse team:
- Build strong relationships with computational scientists, engineers, and other scientific advisors involved in the program.
- Communicate complex scientific concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Actively participate in brainstorming sessions and problem-solving exercises to drive the program forward.
- Master's Degree in data science or a related field AND four years of related work experience in data modeling, big data, data mining, data analytics, and reporting AND Data Science Professional Certificate or relevant subject matter equivalent certification.
OR
- Bachelor's Degree in data science or a related field AND six years of related work experience in data modeling, big data, data mining, data analytics, and reporting AND Data Science Professional Certificate or relevant subject matter equivalent certification.
OR
- Ten+ years of related work experience in data modeling, big data, data mining, data analytics, and reporting AND Data Science Professional Certificate or relevant subject matter equivalent certification.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top Secret or DOE Q clearance throughout the life of the contract.
- Must be a US Citizen per contract.
- Must currently live in Morgantown, WV or willing to relocate.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- 9+ years minimum AI/ML experience.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research, analyze data, and write scientific reports.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong work ethic and a passion for healthcare and scientific discovery.
