Job Summary
Directs, coordinates and controls the multi-disciplinary activities for patients undergoing surgical intervention and recovery in a safe environment. Responsible for the interpretation, direction, and evaluation of nursing practice to promote safe, efficient, and therapeutically effective nursing care throughout the PAT, Pre-op, and PACU phases of care. Demonstrates the primary goal of providing surgical and recovery care services that exceed customer expectations and improve clinical and financial operations. Serves as a leader and role model for the clinical staff. Makes decisions regarding direct patient care needs and communicates appropriate information to other team members. Helps maintain equipment, supplies, and cleanliness of unit as a whole. May have additional responsibilities as designed by the Director, Perioperative Services which include, but are not limited to, providing patient care, serving on committees, participating in quality improvement audits, and projects.

Position Requirements
- Graduate of professional school of Nursing.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Must possess a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Virginia.
- Current CPR, ACLS, PALS.
- Knowledge of AAAHC rules and regulations
- 10 CEUs annually
- At Least 5 years of experience in leading a team
