2HB Incorporated is seeking a Data Architect to support our customer in Herndon, Virginia.
INTRODUCTION
The US Government (USG)is preparing to consolidate data holdings across multiple operations disciplines. The USG requires support necessary to assess current data holdings, determine the extent of data holdings to merge, create a consolidated data model, and establish a process for cleaning up and migrating historic data. The work will be performed within a team environment with engagement across multiple contracts and organizational groups.
WORK REQUIREMENTS
The Candidate shall identify similarities and differences in data models between an enterprise relational database system (SQL) and an enterprise application with a document database system (Mongo) backend.
The Candidate shall make recommendations for enterprise system updates to enable data currently stored in SQL to be housed by the Mongo system.
The Candidate shall design, develop, test, and execute python code to extract, transform, and load data from the SQL system into the Mongo system.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE
Demonstrated experience modeling data objects in relational and document (No-SQL) databases
Demonstrated experience designing and updating JSON data objects
Demonstrated effective communication working in diverse teams
Demonstrated experienced with REST APIs (GET, POST, PUT, and DELETE)
Demonstrated experience with Python
Demonstrated experience with SQL
HIGHLY DESIRED SKILLS AND DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE
Demonstrated experience moving data between different networks
