The VP of Operations will be responsible for overseeing the activities that directly impact family offices and, ultimately, Athena's clients, ensuring the business's long-term viability and driving the extensive and sustainable growth of the organization through operational excellence.

The VP of Operations will be responsible for overseeing the activities that directly impact family offices and, ultimately, Athena's clients, ensuring the business's long-term viability and driving the extensive and sustainable growth of the organization through operational excellence.
High-level Responsibilities
- Establish the Family Office product and the procedures it will entail: Institute thefamily office function and create an end-to-end service delivery roadmap.
- Executive Function - Provide perspective and guidance by seeing the holistic view and understanding the full scope of business matters and still be able to drill down into the details of investments, legal matters, succession planning, and building / repairing/fostering family relationships.
- Collaborate with different stakeholders and execute overall strategies: Work closely with the executive team to develop and meet company goals, manage risks, and drive sustainable solutions while supplying expertise and guidance on family office operations projects and systems.
- Oversee the Family Office operations and Performance Management: Supervise business operations and employee productivity and provide the needful support for the Family Office team to fulfill their corporate objectives.
- LEADERSHIP
- Strategic Planning & Governance:
- Develop a tailored approach for wealth preservation and growth, factoring in each family's unique needs, dynamics, and entrepreneurial background.
- Lay foundations of governance frameworks to guide family members in wealth and business-related decisions.
- Investment & Asset Management:
- Oversee the portfolios of multiple families, warranting diversification and alignment with individual financial and business goals.
- Risk, Tax, & Estate Planning:
- Mitigate financial risk, considering the business exposures and industry hazards of each family.
- Advise on tax-efficient strategies that account for both personal and business revenues.
- Develop estate planning approaches designed for first-generation wealth scenarios.
- Operational Efficiency & Technology Integration:
- Standardize and implement operational systems across different family offices for consistent reporting and security.
- Push for technology solutions that accommodate the diverse needs of multiple families and portfolios.
- Philanthropy & Impact Investing:
- Recognize the values of first-generation wealth holders and guide the families in their philanthropic endeavors accordingly.
- Propose impact investment opportunities that resonate with each family's ethos.
- Legal, Compliance & Regulatory Relationships:
- Ensure compliance across different family financial activities, considering the wide variety of business engagements.
- Foster positive relationships with financial regulators, ensuring the interests of each family are well-represented.
- Personnel Management & Team Leadership:
- Oversee the hiring and training of staff across different family offices.
- OPERATIONS
- Collaborate closely with senior management to develop, execute, and roll out plans for operational procedures, internal infrastructures, reporting systems, and business policies, all of which are geared toward fostering the organization's development, profitability, and efficiency.
- Provide accurate and timely reports summarizing the company's operating status.
- Ensure that successful growth plans and procedures are developed, communicated, and implemented.
- Assist members of the executive team in developing, expanding, and establishing a world-class, industry-leading delegation company.
- FINANCE
- Coordinate budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation programs with other senior executives.
- Form strategic alliances and ties with clients, suppliers, banks, investors, and all other professional business contacts.
- Support the CEO and COO in achieving positive financial outcomes in the areas of operations, profitability, cash flow, systems, reporting, and controls.
- Business Outcome: Monitor operating income and net sales and drive continuous growth by understanding the financial impact of Family Office's day-to-day activities.
- Service Delivery, Quality Assurance, and Satisfaction of the Ultra-High-Net-Worth Clients: Ensure high-level quality of the family office product and maintain world-class service to ultra-high-net-worth clients.
- Efficiency and Completion: Manage conversations with stakeholders across the business that can fast-track the achievement of goals and implementation of priority projects.
- Employee Engagement and Retention Rates: Improve Athena's culture by facilitating conversations that increase team involvement, people engagement, and retention.
- Certified Private Wealth Advisor (CPWA)
- Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC)
- Certified Estate Planner (CEP)
- Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA)
- US-based
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; with CPA designation/MBA or similar advanced degree preferred.
- 15+ years of relevant corporate experience in finance, strategy, or new business development
- Proven experience in wealth management/family office, preferably with first-generation entrepreneurs and ultra-high-net-worth individuals.
- Profound understanding of business operations and the challenges facing first-generation wealth holders.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to navigate complex family and business dynamics.
- Robust analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.

- Proven record of successfully leading and effectively managing large-scale projects/initiatives
- Able to step back and see the big picture while simultaneously be able to drill down into the details of investments, legal matters, succession planning, and building / repairing / fostering family relationships.
