Responsibilities
Our management consulting professionals help our clients to identify, evaluate, and solve some of their most complex challenges, assisting them in achieving their strategic goals and objectives to fulfill their mission. We help our clients transform their business processes, improve efficiency of operations, strengthen policies and controls, increase transparency and performance management, and comply with US and International laws and regulations. Our client demands require flexibility and responsiveness on our part and so our consultants have to be action oriented and self-motivated individuals and must be willing to develop solutions on their own or in a team of highly skilled professionals. Project team members are provided the opportunity to interact with our clients' senior management, as well as the opportunity to enhance their skills in the area of technical competency, client relationship management, leadership and project management.
The individual in this role will support both our federal and commercial clients. Individuals will be engaged in tasks covering a broad set of consulting capabilities, including:
Execute the project according to the project plan
Develop project proposals, project charters, and project management plans
Work with project stakeholders to understand project requirements, and ensure that deliverables satisfy these requirements
Clarify and communicate the project scope and ongoing progress to project team members
Engage project stakeholders and communicate project updates to ensure buy-in and project success
Monitor and track project execution against project plan and budget
Control and manage project execution to mitigate project risks
Ensure that all project estimates are prepared in accordance with the requirements of the project
Develop post-project support to ensure measurement of project objectives
Ensure that project decisions are formally documented and that project deliverables are stored in the official project repository
Evaluating business processes and making recommendations for process improvements
Providing acquisition expertise and reviewing content in a variety of communications from informal email interactions with clients to formal memos, issue papers, presentations, executive briefings, and others
In addition to client-facing responsibilities, this role will support important activities that contribute to the growth of our business, strengthen internal ROCimg operations, and create a positive work environment for all employees. Some of these activities include but are not limited to:
Assisting in business development activities, such as identifying potential client needs and ways ROCimg can assist, developing proposals and white papers, participating in client and internal business development meetings
Participating in ROCimg's programs for staff development
Assisting in the development of best practices materials and presentations to help ROCimg employees expand and strengthen their skills
Support ROCimg programs and initiatives for recruiting top talent to the company
Position Requirements
Required:
Minimum Years of Federal Government Consulting: 5
Minimum Years of Project Management Experience: 4
Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree (B.S. / B.A./ B.B.A.)
Required Certifications: PMP or similar certification
Clearance: None (individual will be submitted for client-specific clearance)
Knowledge Areas:
Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Microsoft Office Suite (Intermediate)
Microsoft Project (Intermediate)
Project Management Software (Intermediate)
