Description:
- Position Summary (Prefer highly motivated individual who will work collaboratively with the health care team to provide patient care. Specialty Pharmacy and EPIC documentation experience preferred, but not required).
- Under the general direction of the Pharmacy Manager, or their designee, the Clinical Pharmacist reviews drug therapy, formulates recommendations based on current literature and established standards of practice, directly supervises supportive personnel serves as a resource for drug information; participates and directly supervises the preparation and distribution of medications, and serves as a member of the healthcare team with the prescriber and direct caregiver.
- Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy Degree from a recognized/accredited School/college of Pharmacy required. Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) Degree or Master's Degree in Hospital Pharmacy or Business Administration preferred.
- License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license with Board of Pharmacy required.
- Experience: Three years of experience in compounding preferred in a large academic medical center preferred. General or specialized pharmacy residency preferred.
