JOB SUMMARY
Position Title: Vice President of Education
Program: Administration
Classification: Exempt/Full Time
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBITIES
Function 1: Vision & Culture
Stewards a vision of high quality and equitable access to services for children and families in connection to the agency's vision and mission
Stewards a vision of behaviors that align with the agency's aspired culture
Leads the vision for systems of communication and collaboration for the impact team
Leads the systems of feedback and voice from the impact team and shares information with senior leaders as necessary
Participates in site-based visits and other organized events with families, staff, and community partners
Fosters team member growth through coaching and reflective supervision
Plays a vital role in the infusion of the organization's core values and models professionalism
Function 2: Program Leadership
Accountable for education programming for the agency
Accountable for grants management, budgetary functions, and compliance for the education impact team
Collaborates with senior leadership to consult on personnel related issues and actions
Remains current on federal, state and local trends that could impact programs
Function 3: Organization Alignment
Leads education impact team directors to ensure alignment with the agency mission, strategy, and values
Actively engages in continuous improvement strategies with CAP's Senior Leadership and Program Leadership
Works across CAP departments to improve outcomes and experiences for customers seeking services
Function 4: Outreach & Partnership
Acts as the liaison between state/federal partners and CAP
Participates in national, state and local coalitions and organizations representing the interests of CAP and the programs
Conducts outreach and public speaking events for programs
Responds to requests from funders and community members
Function 5: Strategy & Innovation
Ensures excellent customer service to clients, community organizations, funders, and state agencies
Solves problems effectively and innovatively and develops staff capacity to respond constructively to programmatic and personnel challenges
Accountable for the team's strategic plan in alignment with the agency's strategic plan and goals
Perform all other work-related duties deemed necessary by the immediate supervisor

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Required:
Bachelor's Degree in the same or related fields and 7-10 years directly related experience in non-profit, human service or governmental financial and program management
Prior experience working with families experiencing vulnerable conditions and local community services
Minimum five years supervisory experience
Preferred:
Master's Degree in Education, Early Childhood, Social Work, Public Policy/Administration or related field and five years directly related experience in non-profit, human service or governmental financial and program management
