LGES Vertech is looking for a motivated entry-mid level software quality assurance (SQA) engineer at our Westborough, MA head office. We are looking for a self-starter who brings an entrepreneurial spirit, to join the Data Science and Data Analysis (DSDA) team and contribute to the software products used to solve complex issues and enhance system performance in the exponentially growing Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) industry. Be part of the Climate tech revolution and help solve the most complex problems through software engineering

Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with developers of diverse backgrounds and skillsets to deliver high-quality software products.
- Design, develop, and maintain testing strategies and plans for software applications used in grid-scale energy storage systems.
- Conduct testing and validation of software updates, patches, and new features to ensure compatibility and functionality.
- Develop and execute test cases, scripts, and scenarios to ensure software meets quality and performance requirements.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on coding standards, best practices, and software design.
- Document test results, defects, and issues in a clear and concise manner.
Skills and Experience
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycles (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Experience with testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Pytest, Zephyr, Selenium).
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).
- Experienced in python-based software development and testing.
- Experienced with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Proficiency with automation testing tools.
- Experienced with agile development workflow and scrum methodology.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- User-level experience with Jira.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Legally authorized to work in the USA.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Certifications in software testing, quality assurance, or a related field.
- Familiarity/experience with BESS industry
- Familiarity with microservices infrastructure on the cloud
