The Spirit of the Position:
LAZ Parking's Technology Department generates over $8M in revenues per year while supporting the company's initiatives through a project management and tech implementation team, maintaining hardware and software, managing and maintaining hundreds of live reports, running national call center, and continuously improving our ecommerce footprint. The Tech department also supports unique deal structures that need dedicated oversight to ensure accuracy and timely flow through to the right locations and accounts for financial reporting purposes.
This position was created to help provide strategic financial oversight and support to the entire department to ensure validity and accuracy of financial information. This position reports directly to the Senior Director - Regional Accounting.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure all revenues generated by the technology departments and/or the processes they support are recorded properly and accurately.
- Work with the Partnership Team to ensure accuracy, compliance, and maximize value of new deals
- Facilitate the budget process through the Tech department heads
- Participate in the closing process with the CAS Home Office Accounting team to ensure accuracy
- Analyze major variances to budget and provide notes for each department which would be reviewed monthly after the closing process is completed
- Help to facilitate the proper communications between the tech teams, regional controllers, and regional operations teams
- Drive compliance and accuracy with CAPEX processes and ensure items are coded properly and moved out of CIP with the right timing
- Identify control gaps or areas of risks and mitigating controls to put in place nationwide to address these risks
- Assist in Ad hoc financial requests related to the Technology team and its departments
- Provide support for new projects or initiatives being deployed within the department from a financial perspective
- Utilize LAZ data to perform analytics and develop key insights over departmental performance.
- Experience and proven ability in demonstrating analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently, be a self-starter, and effectively interface and communicate both through written and verbal means.
- Excellent computer skills, including high and proven proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Adobe, and Outlook)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis or financial operations.
- Private sector accounting and analysis experience a plus
Education:
- BA/BS Degree in Accounting or other Business discipline or equivalent work experience
Required Skills/Experience/Knowledge:
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Proficiency in developing, maintaining, and strengthening policies and procedures.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift, push and pull at least 25 pounds.
