Position Summary
The Director - Access to Care role reports to the VP of Operations and is responsible for developing, implementing and managing efficient and effective patient access, including all operational aspects of the Access Center, to ensure quality patient care. Responsible and accountable for department culture and engagement, management and staff development, recruiting and retention of management, and financial performance. Collaborates with peers and also with a multidisciplinary team (Information Services, Human Resources, Practices Managers, Providers, legal, finance and others) to ensure the Access Center is functioning optimally and is in compliance with all regulatory bodies. Partners with Medical and Administrative leadership with strategic planning and business development for patient access and is a primary consultant for Maine Health Call Center access.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education: Graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required. Certification/Licensure: Current State of Maine RN license required. Current BLS Certification is required or must be obtained within 30 days of the start date. Experience: Five years of progressively advanced administrative management in a hospital or outpatient practice environment required Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: N/A
