A variety of practice types are available and include collaborative practices as well as independent practice opportunities. This community has a brand-new health centre, new LTC and always looking for ways to expand health services.

Eskasoni First Nation is the largest Mi'kmaw community in Nova Scotia where community members are well versed in their culture and language. It is also home to Eskasoni Goat Island home of Eskasoni Cultural Journeys known for its tourism. Eskasoni is conveniently located in the Cape Breton Regional Municipality (CBRM). The CBRM is the second largest municipality in the province of Nova Scotia. With a population of approximately 115,000,

Qualifications
- Eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- Eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
- Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
- Knowledge of Mi'kmaw culture and history is considered a strong asse
