Responsibilities
Assists in providing oversight, management, administration, consultation, and technical assistance to the College of Medicine (CoM) Graduate Medical Education (GME) program located throughout the state of Florida. This includes routine and regular interaction with GME Program Leadership, faculty, coordinators, hospital partner leadership, FSU CoM stakeholders, and external stakeholders. Also collaborates, manages, and supports various GME faculty development, research, and events related to the residency/fellowship programs and other internal/external stakeholders as required.
Program compliance with accrediting and regulatory agencies is critical to the success of the program(s). The Assistant Director of Graduate Medical Education (ADGME) will make formal recommendations for improvement based on accreditation requirements for both the institutional and program accreditation. The ADGME will assist and guide initiatives as directed by the Director of Medical Education, Assistant Dean/Designated Institutional Official and healthcare partner leadership to open new residency/fellowship programs.
The ADGME supports all healthcare partner campuses. The ADGME is responsible for assisting in creating and maintaining appropriate business relationships with various service lines and internal and external partners to educate and promote GME-related timelines and events. Items such as budgetary matters, GME staffing, and space planning should be regularly visited topics of conversation with healthcare partner leadership. Travels ten percent of time or less.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and four years of experience related to graduate medical education; or a high school diploma/equivalent and relevant experience equal to eight years. (Note: post-high school education can substitute for experience at the equivalent rate.)
- National Society of Academic Medical Administrators (NSAMA) certification will be required within 12 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent supervisory and leadership skills to manage and set priorities for support staff.
- Enhanced interpersonal and oral/written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Enhanced presentation skills, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of New Innovations software preferred.
- Proficient in word processing, Excel spreadsheet, database, and presentation software.
- C-TAGME Certification preferred.
