Job Summary:
The Compliance and Safety Officer is responsible for overseeing the compliance, safety, security, and maintenance protocols within our composite manufacturing facility. This role ensures adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements, enhances operational safety, protects personnel and assets, and maintains facility integrity. The officer will develop, implement, and monitor all processes to sustain a safe and efficient working environment.

Job Role:
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Maintenance Department, providing guidance, support, and leadership to ensure optimal performance and alignment with facility goals.
- Conduct and maintain timely performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback and setting clear expectations for each team member.
- Assess department efficiency and staffing requirements regularly, identifying areas for improvement and advocating for additional resources or new hires as needed.
- Develop and maintain Security, Safety, and Compliance staffing as required by company growth.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Monitor and ensure facility operations comply with all local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental, occupational, and health standards.
- Conduct regular compliance audits, identify non-compliance issues, and initiate corrective actions.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and incorporate them into company policies and training programs.
- Prepare documentation and reports required by regulatory bodies, participating in inspections as needed.
- Vendor qualification in conjunction with Purchasing and Quality Control.
Security:
- Develop and implement physical and cyber security protocols to protect assets, equipment, and sensitive information.
- Collaborate with HR to manage access controls, video systems, alarm systems, and physical security protocols.
- Conduct security audits, implement improvements, and oversee incident response plans.
- Train staff on security policies and protocols to enhance awareness and ensure compliance.
Safety:
- Lead the development and maintenance of a comprehensive safety program, including safety committee organization, emergency response, injury prevention, and safe equipment handling.
- Ensure accurate, up-to-date maintenance of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for all hazardous materials used within the facility, making them readily accessible to employees.
- Oversee the provision of CPR and First Aid training, ensuring staff are prepared to respond to workplace emergencies effectively.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and training sessions, while monitoring incident reports to drive continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure compliance with OSHA standards and manage safety certifications.
Maintenance:
- Oversee preventative and corrective maintenance schedules for facility equipment and infrastructure, minimizing downtime and ensuring operational reliability.
- Manage maintenance budgets, resources, and vendor relationships to ensure timely and cost[1]effective repairs.
- Collaborate with production teams to address equipment needs, upgrades, or replacements in line with operational objectives.
- Track and report on maintenance metrics, ensuring continuous improvement in reliability and efficiency.

- Detail-oriented and organizational nature
- Understanding federal and State Laws and the ability to comprehend these for implementation
- Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
