Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate all aspects of the construction process
- Supervise the work of laborers, mechanics etc. and give them guidance when needed
- Work with architects, engineers, and other construction specialists
- Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, or cost tracking reports
- Ensure the quality of work and materials is upheld
- Resolve problems when they arise
- Ensure the work environment is safe and that all safety regulations are being followed
- Monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations
Skills
- Strong project management skills to plan, coordinate, and oversee construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Excellent understanding of construction procedures, tools and knowledge of construction materials to ensure the quality of construction.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills to liaise with architects, engineers, clients and other stakeholders, and resolve any potential issues.
- Leadership and team-building skills to manage and coordinate a diverse team of professionals and workers.
- Proficiency in construction management software to track project progress, manage resources, and handle scheduling and cost estimation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to anticipate and handle potential challenges or delays in the construction process.
- Compliance with all safety procedures and knowledge of construction safety laws to ensure a safe work environment.
- Experience in reading and understanding blueprints and technical diagrams to accurately execute construction plans.

- Key Qualifications
- At least 10 years minimum of proven work experience as a Construction Manager / Retail experience with tenant improvement project.
- Advanced knowledge of construction project management processes, means and methods
- Understanding of all facets of the construction process
- Competent in conflict and crisis management
- Excellent time and project management skills
- BS degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field
- OSHA 30-hr Construction Safety Training
- Location: California (Bay Area)
Salary: $124,800 - $166,400 Salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
