Job Summary: The Vice President of Operations will plan, direct, coordinate and oversee operations activities in the organization by maximizing productivity, quality, and service throughout the operation and by implementing best practices in facilities layout, methods, material handling concepts, technological enhancements, and business measurements to meet the current and future needs of the company.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Maximize productivity, quality, and service throughout the operations by implementing best practices in facilities layout, methods, material handling concepts, technological enhancements, and business measurements.
2. Develop and execute strategic plan for Operations in collaboration with Executive Team.
3. Lead and drive corporate culture and initiatives through subordinate managers.
4. Lead continuous improvement efforts and implement and champion lean principles and methodology.
5. Create and manage business metrics that drive the profitability, safety, and performance of the company.
6. Lead workforce planning, budgeting, and capital expenditure allocations for assigned departments.
7. Responsible for sustained profitable growth through efficiencies and cost control accomplished by establishing and achieving annual performance and budgetary goals.
8. Direct activities and assume final accountability for Delivery and Warehouse Operations as well as other assigned support departments.
9. Participate in Executive Management Team to advise on inter-company issues including policy, procedure, strategy, and compliance.
10. Manage results, costs, budgets, quality, and personnel for assigned departments.
11. Oversee establishment of standardized processes, procedures, and controls in Operations.
12. Manage intercompany relationships and resolve any escalated issues including employee relations, dispute resolution, and legal matters.
13. All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Possess and display CBC's Core Values at all times:

2. Possess a bachelor's degree in logistics or a related field.
3. Possess at least seven years of similar or related experience with proven record of establishing processes and standardization in distribution/wholesale.
4. Possess advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products, data analytics, WMS, and ERP systems.
5. Possess advanced ability to understand and apply mathematical and financial concepts. Possess the ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory and factoring analysis.
6. Possess judgment and decision-making qualities for situations that go beyond clear, concise guidelines and the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
7. Possess the ability to establish priorities and manage multiple functions successfully.
8. Possess the ability to cooperatively solve practical problems with employees on every level.
9. Possess advanced communication skills and the ability to write reports and correspondence. Possess the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, employees or management.
10. Possess the ability to write, read, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
11. Possess knowledge of DOT regulations, labor relations, and OSHA compliance.
12. Possess proven leadership ability including ability to inspire acceptance of change.
13. Possess and maintain an acceptable MVR and driving record in compliance with company standards plus the ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision. The noise level in the work environment is generally quiet.
