Qualifications:
PhD with industry or academic experience or MSc with at least 2-3 years of industry experience
Qualifications:
Hands-on experience in the development and technical validation of quantitative LC-MS/MS assays using MRM/PRM acquisition
Experience in data analyses covering relative to absolute quantification
Expertise in sample processing and prefractionation across cell, tissue and fluid specimens
Experienced in using automated liquid handling platforms
Experience working collaboratively within cross-functional teams
Self-motivated and resourceful with a demonstrated ability to generate robust and reproducible data in a timely manner
Well-developed oral and written communication skills
Desired Competencies (Preferred / not required):
Hands-on experience performing unbiased, quantitative discovery analyses with high resolution LC-MS instrumentation (i.e. DDA, DIA approaches using label-free or TMT quantification)
Proficiency in data processing and bioinformatic and statistical workflows (i.e. proficiency with MetaboAnalyst, Skyline, MaxQuant, Proteome Discoverer, EncyclopeDIA or similar)
Mass spectrometry-based targeted quantitative lipid analyses or discovery lipidomics

The Department of Neuroscience is seeking a junior level bioanalytical scientist to join the MRL Discovery organization in West Point, PA.
In this position, you will be responsible for developing mass spectrometry-based assays for use in preclinical drug development with a focus on Neurodegenerative diseases with high unmet medical needs. Appointees will work within multidisciplinary teams focused on discovery of Client drug targets and development of biomarkers for clinical translation supporting new therapeutics. Applicants should have expertise in development of quantitative mass spectrometry assays to support follow-on validation of discovery data for biomarker development.
