Description
Structural Engineer (Multiple Positions), (Stantec Consulting Services, Inc.; New Haven, CT): Utilize knowledge of structural engineering of transportation structures. Prepare design calculations, drawings, and details for various transportation projects. Design new structures and rehabilitate existing structures. Review shop drawings produced by fabricators and detailers. Review calculations performed by other engineers. Coordinate with design team. Visit sites to address project issues and verify existing conditions. Work with other structural staff and departments to complete transportation projects. 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.). Salary is $109,886 - $135,400 per year. #GTM
Qualifications
Requirements:
Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Structural Design, or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor's, progressive related work experience; OR a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Structural Design, or a related field, and 2 years of related work experience.
Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience with the following: Steel and concrete design; Design codes and agency standards, including AASHTO and CTDOT Bridge Design Manual; and Load Rating using AASHTO Manual for Bridge Evaluation and CTDOT Bridge Load Rating Manual.
Travel to various locations throughout the U.S. up to 5% is required.
Telecommuting is permitted 2 days per week, depending on business need.
