The remaining 40% will focus on broader data governance tasks. This role is pivotal in developing and implementing a data quality framework, with the goal of driving improvements and leveraging existing data assets in the data lake. The successful candidate will collaborate with another team member, also focused on data quality, to build a strong, cohesive team dedicated to enhancing data quality across the organization. The candidate will assist in setting up and using Microsoft Purview's data quality module to support key use cases for the organization.

The candidate will assist in setting up and using Microsoft Purview's data quality module to support key use cases for the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead efforts to establish and maintain data quality standards, including data profiling, cleansing, and monitoring processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive data quality management framework, including policies, procedures, and metrics to assess and enhance the quality of enterprise data.
- Collaborate with data producers, business analysts, IT teams, and data consumers to define and drive data quality requirements across the organization.
- Champion data quality initiatives, providing guidance and training to data stewards and business users, fostering awareness and adoption of data governance principles.
- Assist in setting up and utilizing Microsoft Purview's data quality module to support data governance and analytics efforts.
- Contribute to the creation of a hub-and-spoke style data framework, helping set up and enforce policies, standards, and procedures within the organization's hybrid data governance model.
- Work towards achieving data governance use cases within the year, leveraging data already available in the organization's data lake.
REQUIREMENTS:
- U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder (required).
- 5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or a similar role with a strong focus on data quality (required).
- Experience in leading and owning data quality programs for over two years, particularly at the enterprise level.
- Proven experience in implementing data quality frameworks for data platforms, including developing policies, procedures, and metrics to assess and improve data quality.
- Proficiency in data governance tools and hands-on experience with data quality modules within such tools.
- Experience in establishing and maintaining data quality standards, including data profiling, data cleansing, and monitoring processes to ensure data accuracy.
- Ability to work in a hub-and-spoke data governance model and contribute to the development of governance policies and procedures.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Purview and experience in setting up data quality tools within this platform.
- Prefer experience with cloud governance tools and familiarity with advanced analytics, AI/ML, deep learning, and knowledge graphs.
