Position overview:
The Accounting Compliance Manager will play a pivotal role as the liaison between the Client Accounting Services (CAS) and Tax Departments. This position combines traditional accounting management responsibilities with direct business tax preparation functions, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration across departments to meet client needs effectively.
Key responsibilities include managing year-end financial statement close, general ledger preparation, and identification and communication of discrepancies. This position will engage with clients and client contacts and other professional service providers. Success in this role requires strong leadership skills, the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment, and expertise in both accounting principles and tax procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the liaison between the client, CAS and Tax departments, ensuring smooth coordination for business tax preparation and year-end financial close.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of reported financial data, utilizing supporting documentation and reconciliation of all accounts.
- Verify that all financial calculations and reported balances comply with current tax laws and regulations
- Review account classifications and ensure financial transactions are recorded correctly.
- Design and streamline processes to create efficiencies
- Build and manage a team, including training, supervision, procedure development, and workload delegation.
- Ensure timely submission of client financial and tax reporting packages, while maintaining quality and accuracy.
- Foster positive client relationships by serving as a contact point for comprehensive information requests, providing progress updates and discussing discprepancies
- Actively participate in firm-wide initiatives to improve processes and drive growth.
Key Qualifications:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a high-volume, multitasking environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly for liaising between departments and clients.
- Commitment to upholding client confidentiality and ensuring the highest quality of service.
- Enthusiasm for ongoing personal and professional development, with a willingness to learn new technologies and accounting systems.
- Proficiency in accounting software.
- Minimum 5 years in field of accounting and/or tax.
- CPA license beneficial but not required.
