Senior Superintendent

Responsible for achieving the dates in the Project Schedule and aggressively seeking strategies to improve them while complying with Aurora's Safety and Quality Control standards. The Senior Superintendent is responsible for management of the Superintendents and collaboration with the Project Team.

*Salary $140,000 - $250,000

Essential Functions:
  • Achieve project schedule goals through planning, collaboration with stakeholders, and execution management.
  • Conduct construction pre-planning including scheduling, communication, and coordination with inspectors.
  • Manage and develop team with clear direction, consistency, and accountability.
  • Plan and manage site logistics, circulation, and deliveries while ensuring safety and compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality control standards, including personnel development and professional representation of company values.

Day in the Life

A typical day could be arriving onsite at one of our jobsites, ensuring that all trades are present and able to conduct their operations safely and efficiently. Afterwards, you finalize any preparations for the foreman's meeting where all the foreman and superintendent arrive to review the current project status, issues, and 3 week look ahead that you prepared earlier that week.

Qualifications:
  • 15 years of related experience as a Lead Superintendent.
  • Experience with out of the ground construction in New York City, and renovation projects
  • Proficient with Excel, Word, Outlook, PDF's, and project management software
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of construction standards and methods, project construction documents, as well as local codes and requirements such OSHA, DOB, NYC.
  • Required licensing per state and local ordinances.

Preferred Education & Experience:
  • Strong communication skills; thorough and attentive to details; able to prioritize and multitask; proactive and deadline oriented.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to interact effectively with customers, subcontractors, and employees at all levels of the organization.

Full Time, Exempt:

Monday - Friday 6:30am to 4:00pm

And frequently require longer hours and weekend work
